Privacy notice

Who we are

Fingertip Recruitment is a division of Africa Procurement Group Limited and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@fingertiprecruitment.co.uk, on 0207 183 3419, or at 88 Wood Street, City of London EC2V 7RS.

What we collect

• Your name, email address and telephone number.
• Your profession or role, and the type of work you are interested in.
• Your CV, and anything you choose to include in it or in a message to us.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

Candidates: so that a consultant can contact you about roles and put you forward to clients where a role suits your experience. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the registration form, and which you can withdraw at any time.

Employers: so that we can respond to your enquiry and work on the brief. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — running a recruitment business and replying to people who approach us — and, once we are working together, performance of a contract.

We do not make any decision about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.

Special category data

We do not ask for information about your health, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, trade union membership or criminal record. If a CV happens to contain any of it, we do not use it in deciding whether to put you forward.

Who we share it with

We share candidate details and CVs with prospective employers only, and only with your agreement before each introduction. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate records for as long as you would like to hear from us about roles, and we check in if we have not heard from you for two years. If you ask us to stop, we remove your details and your CV. Records relating to a placement are kept for the period required by employment and tax law.

Where it is held

Form submissions are stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, which processes data in the United States under the safeguards required by UK data protection law. Everything else is held on our own systems in the United Kingdom.

Your rights

You have the right to be told what we hold about you and to be given a copy, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to have it sent to another organisation, and to withdraw your consent. Exercising any of these is free and we will respond within one month. Email info@fingertiprecruitment.co.uk and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and this website

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no tracking of any kind. It stores one thing in your browser: your answer to the privacy question at the foot of the page, so that we do not ask again. That is strictly necessary for the choice to work, so it needs no consent.

The only request this site makes to a third party is for our typefaces, which are served by Google Fonts and would share your IP address with Google. Nothing is requested unless you accept; the site is fully usable if you decline. You can change your answer at any time using the Privacy choices link in the footer.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page. This version was published in 2026.
